Once all players have concluded their turn (including folding, checking, calling, or raising), they conclude their participation in that round and proceed to reveal their hands (show down) in reverse order from their placement in relation to their proximity to the dealer.
If a player discards his hand (throws his cards away), he admits defeat and forfeits any possibility of winning the hand. The winner of the hand is determined by which player has assembled the highest ranking combination of five cards (using two private cards plus three community cards).
